New WorldLend User Interface with Links to Lending Pit

A new graphical user interface is now available, giving a more intuitive, updated look and feel to WorldLend. It's architected under Microsoft .Net using Microsoft Internet Explorer as a thin client desktop. The advanced functionality has been further enhanced to allow real-time access to the SunGard Astec Lending Pit product. This allows WorldLend clients subscribing to Lending Pit to link directly to the Lending Pit industry-wide database of rebate and loan volume information from within WorldLend, to assist in increasing the profitability of their securities lending business. When a loan is being booked or amended in WorldLend, a Lending Pit button on the input screen allows real-time access to the Lending Pit rebate data for the corresponding security. Upon completion of the interactive Lending Pit research, the Lending Pit window may either be closed or minimized and the WorldLend new loan / adjustment processing continued.

Direct access to Lending Pit from WorldLend means that when a loan is being entered or amended for a designated security, the trader is able to immediately access the Lending Pit rebate database in a swift, simple manner, thus ensuring informed decisions are made in rebate negotiations. This valuable insight to industry-wide data enhances the stock loan organization to increase the profitability generated from their securities lending program.

The new WorldLend GUI itself replaces the older VB6 "thick" client version, and provides expanded functionality for ease of access to and exporting of WorldLend data.
