Training and certification for Application Managers
What is an Application Manager?
Implementations of FRONT ARENA depend on skilful input from the bank’s organisation. Typically it is the ‘Application Manager’ who is the key to getting the full technical and functional power out of the system. This person needs to have a good knowledge of:
1. The bank’s trading activities including, front, middle, and back offices.
2. The bank’s hardware and software environment where FRONT ARENA and connected systems are installed.
3. How FRONT ARENA can be implemented, customised, integrated used and developed
Details of the FRONT ARENA Certified Professional Program can be found at http://www.frontarena.com/templates/Page.asp?id=2681

What does an 'Application Manager' work with?
Application Managers work closely with the bank's trading organisation and need to have a good understanding of traders' needs and system requirements, both financial and technical. Typical responsibilities include:
- Supervising and deciding upon FRONT ARENA configuration issues
- Acting as first line support for traders
- Configuring and setting-up the system for different users and departments
- Continuing management and supervision of FRONT ARENA
- Testing and implementing new releases of FRONT ARENA
There will usually be more than one Application Manager supporting the trading organisation as well as more traditional system managers (technical IT support and maintenance).
